my campaign is grounded in the below core values

PROTECTING VICTIMS

HOLDING THE GUILTY ACCOUNTABLE

HOLDING THE GUILTY ACCOUNTABLE

Victims deserve to be heard, respected, and taken seriously in every courtroom. Justice must protect those who have been harmed by ensuring their cases are handled with care, urgency, and fairness.

HOLDING THE GUILTY ACCOUNTABLE

HOLDING THE GUILTY ACCOUNTABLE

HOLDING THE GUILTY ACCOUNTABLE

When the law is broken, there must be real consequences. Accountability strengthens public safety and ensures the justice system works as it should; firm, fair, and consistent.

DEFENDING THE INNOCENT

HOLDING THE GUILTY ACCOUNTABLE

UPHOLDING THE CONSTITUTION

No one should lose their freedom without the full protection of the law. Defending the innocent means safeguarding due process, demanding proof, and ensuring fairness at every step.

UPHOLDING THE CONSTITUTION

RUNNING AN EFFICIENT COURTROOM

UPHOLDING THE CONSTITUTION

The Constitution is the foundation for justice and protects the rights of every person. Upholding it means applying the law as written without pressure, favoritism, or exceptions.

FOLLOWING THE RULE OF LAW

RUNNING AN EFFICIENT COURTROOM

RUNNING AN EFFICIENT COURTROOM

The rule of law means no one is above the law and no one is beneath it. Every decision must be based on facts and the law, not emotion, influence, or personal connections.

RUNNING AN EFFICIENT COURTROOM

RUNNING AN EFFICIENT COURTROOM

Justice delayed is justice denied. An efficient courtroom respects victims, defendants, families, and taxpayers by keeping cases moving, reducing unnecessary delays, and delivering timely, lawful decisions.

About Tray

Dwight “Tray” Richardson III is a lifelong Alabamian and legal professional running for Elmore County District Court Judge, Place 2. With more than two decades inside the justice system including service in law enforcement and as a criminal defense attorney; Richardson has been in the trenches and has spent his entire career focused solely on the law. A graduate of Auburn University and the Thomas Goode Jones School of Law, he brings a no-nonsense, real-world approach to the bench grounded in accountability and the Constitution. Richardson believes justice demands full dedication and unwavering commitment, and that the bench requires complete focus and long-term service. A first-time candidate for public office, he rejects outside influence and public pressure, insisting judges must be independent, disciplined, and loyal to the rule of law alone. His priorities are clear: victims must be heard and protected, the guilty must be held accountable, and the innocent must have their constitutional rights preserved, every case, every time.

Richardson has lived in Millbrook since 2007 and is married to his high school sweetheart, Malia, of 23 years; together they are raising two children, Emmy, 13, and Thomas, 11.
